World CML Day 2019

9/22 represents the genetic change of Chromosomes 9 and 22 that is the cause of Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML).

September 22nd (9/22) has been chosen as a symbolic date when the CML community and leukaemia patients worldwide are united and are calling not only for access to the best available treatment and care for all patients, but also for the development of a cure for the disease. It is also the day the general public, patients and relatives, health care providers and policymakers are especially aware about what living with chronic myeloid leukaemia means, and which are the main concerns, needs and challenges that people living whit this kind of leukaemia face every day.

Since 2011, the worldwide community unites to celebrate World CML Day on that date and every year a new international campaign is launched.

This year our focus at CML Life has been on helping all those affected by CML better understand the condition. This led us to create our new visual guide to understanding your CML treatment. Click here to view and share with family and friends.
